“A place to learn, a place to grow”
Richmond Montessori School, conspicuously situated in the heart of Winnipeg South, offers an excellent quality childcare program and Montessori Method of Education for children aged 2 to 6 through our committed team of staff and a well-rounded curriculum that caters to the unique needs of every child.
“Early childhood education is the key to the betterment of society.”
Dr. Maria Montessori
Richmond Montessori School enrolls children between two to six years of age and provides a structured multi-age learning environment. A mixed-age group provides the ideal opportunity for peer learning/teaching and fosters continuous social development and responsibility.
Our classroom is designed to encourage children to work at their own pace while using scientifically designed Montessori materials. This approach stimulates each child to self-correct through built-in control of error tool found within each material, allowing the child to explore and perfect his or her own work.
Children are guided to work responsibly with each material until the desired level of competency is achieved. This, in itself, is an evaluation of the child's ability. Each child is taught individually, giving the teachers an extensive insight of the child's learning curve in all the concepts taught.
We also provide one of the largest indoor gym facilities in Winnipeg, so your child will have plenty of space to play. Children will grow physically, psychologically, socially, and emotionally, through an enjoyable journey of experience in realizing and reaching their fullest potential, based on the teachings of Dr. Maria Montessori.
The school will operate from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday. The school will be closed for two weeks during the Christmas break, and one week during the summer break. Additionally, the school will be closed on all Statutory and Civic holidays, including Easter Monday.
